Who's that woman with Robert Pattinson?

The actor began filming  Cosmopolis opposite Sarah Gadon in Toronto on Wednesday.

Pattinson, who plays a 28-year-old multi-millionaire in the thriller, looks dapper as he shares a limo ride with Canadian actress Gadon.

The photo was snapped by photographed Caitlin Cronenberg, whose father David Cronenberg is directing the movie.

The film is about a day in the life of Eric Packer (played by Pattinson), whose journey across Manhattan by limo takes bizarre twists and turns as he meets a cast of characters and risks his fortune.

Based on Don DeLillo's novel, the film also stars Juliette Binoche, Paul Giamatti and Samantha Morton.

Disney Making New "OZ" Movie!

Disney Sets The Date For Their Trip To Oz!

And we've all got a looooong wait!
Disney has announced their planned release date for the Sam Raimi-directed 3D flick, Oz: The Great and Powerful. Audiences will get the chance to walk down the yellow brick road alongside James Franco, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams on March 8, 2013.
And what a walk it will be! We have high hopes for this project, only because such a stellar cast has been assembled. Still, we're skeptical anyone can pay better homage to the classic tale better than the creators of Wicked, book and musical. We'll try to keep an open mind though.
Have U marked the date on your Judy Garland calendars?

American Idol Winner... Scotty!!!!

American Idol Winner Is Revealed!

American Idol Winner Is Revealed!
Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina

After Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina performed three songs each on the first night of the American Idol finale on Tuesday, Jennifer Lopez summed up the competition: "It's a tight race," she said. "America has their job cut out for them."

Now that job is done. The votes – 122 million of them, a new Idol record – are in and after a star-studded spectacular, host Ryan Seacrest announced the season 10 winner.

Keep reading to find out if Scotty or Lauren was named the new American Idol ...

The winner is Scotty McCreery!
"It's been a year since me and Lauren Alaina tried out now," Scotty said in apparent disbelief. "We've been together since day one and we're going to stay together. This is just – never in my wildest dreams ... I got to thank the Lord first. He got me here."

Scotty is an Idol first, a deep-voiced country traditionalist. Even though he's only 17, he's preternaturally good. I think the soul of Jimmie Rodgers or some other Nashville legend entered his body at birth.

All right, you explain it.

In a sense, this revised season, with the addition of Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler to the judges' panel, encouraged the emergence of someone other than just a big, middle-of-the-road pop star.

The judges pointedly avoided stressing the need for a singer to provide what Simon Cowell always referred to as "the whole package" – they even encouraged Casey Abrams to do that multi-tenacled, lounge-jazz thing of his. And producer Jimmy Iovine tended to hone in on each singer's particular leanings and strengths – there wasn't as much pressure this time to prove crossover potential. If a singer came in knowing his particular leanings, as Scotty surely did, he'd go far.

Lauren was a country performer at heart, as well, but she was also the more traditional Idol contestant, with a voice full of the lyrical yearning made for old-fashioned pop ballads. Her final performance, a song called "Like My Mother Does," seemed almost calculated to draw Idol viewers to her side with its emphasis on heart-tugging emotion and motherhood. And there was much talk of that important Idol theme, her "journey."

But voters weren't interested in that this season – they went with the astonishingly consistent Scotty, who started his journey on Idol already fully formed as a performer.

The Stars Were Out

Before the announcement, there were nearly two hours of airtime to fill with music and distraction. That included Steven singing the Aerosmith classic "Dream On" and Lady Gaga – in a sublimely nutty moment – ending "The Edge of Glory" by jumping into a fake volcano. And, in Idol tradition, the season finalists all returned, often paired with major stars.

James Durbin got his supreme metal moment, leathered up and singing "After Midnight" with Judas Priest. That was a bit scary.

Jacob Lusk sang "I Smile" with gospel star Kirk Franklin and Gladys Knight. Much nicer.

Casey Abrams was joined by Jack Black, a good musical performer who's even better at sending himself up, for the schlock-rock classic "Fat Bottomed Girls."

Haley Reinhart and Tony Bennett made a snazzy duet of "Steppin' Out With My Baby."

Lauren and Carrie Underwood sang "Before He Cheats." I assume her vocal problems Tuesday didn't contribute to her loss, but her voice sounded much more guarded on Wednesday night's show.

And American Idol winner-to-be Scotty and Tim McGraw paired up for "Live Like You Were Dying."

Scotty's so young he made McGraw looked like Robert Duvall.

TMZ spoke with Randy's brother, Lanny Poffo, who tells us the wrestling legend suffered a heart attack while he was behind the wheel around 9:25 AM ... and lost control of his vehicle.

Earlier this month, Savage celebrated his 1-year anniversary with his new wife Lynn.

Savage was 58.

Macho Man began wrestling in the WWF in 1985 and became a superstar with his trademark catchphrase "Ooooooh Yeaahhhhh."

UPDATE: Florida Highway Patrol tells TMZ ... Savage was driving his 2009 Jeep Wrangler when he veered across a concrete median ... through oncoming traffic ... and "collided head-on with a tree."

Savage was transported to Largo Medical center, where he died from his injuries.

Savage's wife was a passenger in the vehicle during the collision -- but survived with "minor injuries." She was transported to a different local hospital where she was treated.

More Kids for Brad and Angelina?

Brad Pitt Loves the Chaos of (So Far) Six Kids

Brad Pitt knew from an early age that if he ever had his own family, it was going to a big one.

"I had a friend who had a big family when I was a kid. I just loved the chaos around the breakfast table and the fighting and the ribbing, and the mom making pancakes for everyone or the dad making pancakes," the actor, 47, and father of six tells the Associated Press in an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, where he premiered his new movie, The Tree of Life.

"And I just decided then if I was ever going to do it – this left some indelible mark on me – if I was ever going to do it, that's the way I was going to do it."

Pitt, who has three biological children and three adopted children with Angelina Jolie, says it's just his personality to go all in. "I know it seems extreme from the outside, but I've always kind of operated this way," he says. "When I know, I know, and why mess around?"

The actor has also said this week that his children inform his film choices, and that he wants his kids to admire him as "a pretty damn good actor."

American Idol : Down To THREE

American Idol's Final Three Give It Their All

American Idol's Final Three Give It Their All | Haley Reinhart, Lauren Alaina, Scotty McCreery
The two-hour show was partitioned into three rounds.

The singers got to pick what they wanted to perform, with mentoring hints from the lovely Beyoncé. Then they sang a selection by producer Jimmy Iovine and, finally, a selection by the judges.

Read on to see how the three American Idol finalists did.

Round One: Goes to Haley
Scotty McCreery, described by Beyoncé as “just a cutie pie,” tried moving beyond his preternaturally low tone and tested his higher range with Lonestar’s “Amazed.” Cutie pie pulled it off.

“You kicked that song into the middle of next week,” said judge Steven Tyler. Scotty described it as “going for my inner Casey,” meaning Casey Abrams. He’d almost cried, he added, but “I wanna stay away from them waterworks.”

Lauren Alaina sang Faith Hill’s “Wild One.” Beyoncé brought up the eternal question – how can Lauren deal with her insecurity? – and suggested she needed to protect herself in a sort of projected stage image, in short, by imagining herself a diva. The song let her be loose and flirty, although she seemed to swallow a syllable at the very end. Randy thought Beyonce’s advice was smart, although Lauren without the vulnerability isn’t quite Lauren, is she?

“I think Haley is a rock star,” Beyoncé said of Haley Reinhart, who made the daring choice to perform Led Zeppelin’s “What Is and What Should Never Be.” I sometimes think she’s a female Casey, starting her songs with a trill, building to a growl and then yowling away, but it was a big, audacious performance and easily eclipsed Scotty and Lauren. (And that was her dad on guitar!)

She even tripped and fell onstage, but that didn’t throw her. “This is what it’s all about,” said Randy Jackson. “You’re fearless. ... One of your best performances ever.”

Randy and Jennifer Lopez handed the round to Haley, while Steven demurred from settling on one singer. Lauren, he noted, “got her freak on.”

Round Two: Scotty
For Scotty, Iovine picked Thompson Square’s “Are You Gonna Kiss Me or Not.”

“I’m beyond thrilled,” said Scotty, betraying not one iota of excitement. The song added a touch of rock to his country roots and he rolled along very comfortably. Jennifer said she loved it and then, with the charming flirtatiousness allowed a superstar, asked Scotty to cut his hair back short for the finale. Randy compared him, favorably, to country giant Garth Brooks.

For Lauren? The Band Perry’s “If I Die Young,” which Iovine thought would fit her voice, and hit her sweet spot. He was right, as he is often is: She managed to be both sadly achy and somehow hopeful. Steven and Randy noted a couple of technical flaws, but they didn’t seem to think those were significant.

“You have the most beautiful tone of our finalists,” said Jennifer. “It is a magical, magical thing.” And then he assigned Haley “Rhiannon,” the great Fleetwood Mac classic sung by Stevie Nicks. She got to have her hair and dress rippled by a wind machine while fog licked at her heels, a nice touch, but it all sounded strangely becalmed.

The judges were very kind, although they all admitted it wasn’t the same killer performance as her first song. “I think you did a good job,” said Randy. “It was more of a somber moment for me.”

Steven gave the round to Lauren, but Jennifer and Randy preferred Scotty.

Round Three: Lauren
The energy level really began to sink – either the singers were losing steam (understandably) or the judges hadn’t chosen all that well. Maybe both?

“She Believes in Me,” by Kenny Rogers, was the judges’ pick for Scotty. It came across as much too slick, but I think it would have sounded the same even if Patti Smith sang it. There’d be no point faulting the vocal. “That’s the first big chorus you sang in a big way,” said Steven.

Lauren’s selection was Lee Ann Womack’s “I Hope You Dance.” She wore a long powder-blue gown that looked as if it had floated on over from the Grand Ole Opry, and her performance had a floating ease to it, too.

“You just gave me goosies from head to toe,” said Jennifer. Randy said she’d “slayed it,” and Steven said she’d sung it “perfectly.”

Haley thought it was “pretty cool” her song would be Alanis Morrisette’s “You Oughta Know.” But she had trouble during the rapid run of lyrics, and then was close to shrill during the big power moments. “Haley is in it to win it,” said Randy, who by now has said this of people who aren’t even on the show.

At the end, Randy and Jennifer went with Lauren as Round 3’s winner, and Steven voted for Haley.

Madonna, Beyoncé, Halle Berry, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes ... the list goes on of A-list stars who descended upon Chicago Tuesday to wish Oprah Winfrey farewell at a taping of the talk-show queen's third- and second-to-last episodes ever of The Oprah Winfrey Show.

"Having fun?" Winfrey asked about 13,000 audience members packed into Chicago's United Center – which was stocked with 13,000 boxes of tissue – for the taping of two shows that will air May 23 and May 24. "So am I! So darn cool!" (Winfrey's final episode will tape next week and air on May 25.)

Tom Hanks, who acted as master of ceremonies Tuesday night, told Winfrey, "You are surrounded by nothing but love" before introducing a video of viewers talking about how their lives have been positively impacted by the talk show that's lasted 25 years.

"I feel the love, and I thank you for it," Winfrey told the audience at one point, adding that the viewers present and around the world "honor me in the deepest way possible."

"They have literally risen up to change the world," Berry said of Winfrey's viewers. "The essence of The Oprah Winfrey Show is that we're all more alike than we are different."

Cruise, who walked out on stage to the theme music from Mission Impossible, quoted Glinda the Good Witch of the South from The Wizard of Oz, and told Winfrey, "You always had the power [to change lives], and that is the lesson you brought."

His wife said her viewers have donated more than $12 million to Women for Women, which helps female survivors of war. "Oprah we love you," Holmes said. "We thank you."

Madonna was slightly less sentimental: "A lot of people are inspired by Oprah. I am one of those people," the singer said. "She has balls and a wealth of compassion, and I have learned so much from her."

And the end of the show doesn't mean the end of her positive impact. John Legend said via satellite that 25 new libraries will be built across the U.S. in Winfrey's honor, and Diane Sawyer took the stage to say that 25,000 oak trees will be planted across the country "to remind everyone to live their best lives."

The night was punctuated by live performances by some of Winfrey's favorite musicians. Introducing her new single, "Run the World (Girls)," Beyoncé told Winfrey, "Because of you, women everywhere have graduated to a new level of understanding of who we are, of what we are and most of all, who we can be."

Josh Groban and Patti LaBelle also serenaded Winfrey, continuing the Wizard of Oz theme with a heartfelt performance of "Over the Rainbow."

'It Feels Like the Rapture'

During the taping for the second part of the two-show extravaganza, Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett-Smith served as hosts and led a parade of celebs including Jerry Seinfeld, Tyler Perry, Michael Jordan, Simon Cowell and Maya Angelou with an original poem devoted to Winfrey.

"You have enlightened us, you have empowered us, you have taught us how to be. And I know you don't have children, but you have mothered us ... and that puts you in the status of a goddess," Pinkett-Smith said.

Best friends Gayle King and Maria Shriver also appeared and introduced a segment on Winfrey's love of education, with Shriver striking a personal note saying, "You've given me love, support, wisdom, and most of all the truth."

Long-time partner Stedman Graham popped in to tell Winfrey, "Honey, you are so special. … I love you for making a difference in my life."

Musical performances came from, among others, Jamie Foxx and Stevie Wonder, who sang a personalized version of "Isn't She Lovely"; Alicia Keys, with a verse from "Superwoman"; Aretha Franklin, belting out "Amazing Grace"; Usher, with "Oh Happy Day"; and Rosie O'Donnell, whose song lamenting, "Why you gotta go away?" introduced Winfrey faves Dr. Phil, Nate Berkus and Dr. Oz.

Winfrey, teary throughout, thanked her guests and audience. "Thank you for taking me to a place that is beyond joyous," she said. "It feels like the rapture."

Since Arnold Schwarzenegger's shocking admission that he fathered a child with a member of his household staff more than a decade ago, all eyes have focused on his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver.

"She is broken-hearted," a friend tells PEOPLE in the new issue.

For Shriver, who has moved out of their Brentwood home and is currently living in a Beverly Hills hotel, it's been a time of sadness and immense pain.

Schwarzenegger, 63, told Shriver, 55, about the secret child earlier this year after he finished his second term as Governor of California. "The magnitude of this betrayal knows no bounds," says a friend of Shriver's. "She had no idea."

Shriver said in a statement on Tuesday that she's focusing on her four kids and asked for "compassion, respect and privacy as my children and I try to rebuild our lives and heal."

Just how she'll begin to pick up the pieces remains unclear, but those close to her say she'll do whatever it takes to protect and be there for her the kids: Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13.

"No matter what, she will take the high road," says a political source. "That's her style and that's her family's style. That's just who she is.”

The identity of the alleged mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger's love child has been revealed, according to multiple reports.

Mildred Baena, 50, is said to have become pregnant with her son – who is now believed to be as old as 14, reports The New York Times – while employed as a housekeeper and an assistant in the Schwarzenegger-Shriver home. She worked for the couple for more than 20 years, reports ABC News.

Baena's homepage on MySpace describes her as a "proud parent," and says she's "dating or searching for a serious relationship."

Baena reportedly retired from her job in the Schwarzenegger household in January, the same month Schwarzenegger retired as governor of California – and informed his wife, Maria Shriver, that he had fathered a child out of wedlock. The couple announced their separation last week after 25 years of marriage.

They have four children: Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. Shriver, 55, spent Tuesday night, the day news of the scandal broke, dining in Chicago with Oprah Winfrey.

Baena was first named as the mother by Radar Online and Star magazine.

The marital split of former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and broadcast journalist Maria Shriver took a shocking new twist Tuesday with a Los Angeles Times report that the couple separated after Shriver was informed that her husband and a longtime female member of their household staff had a child together more than a decade ago.

According to the Times, the 25-year marriage hit the rocks earlier this year, when Shriver moved out of the couple's Brentwood mansion after Schwarzenegger confirmed the paternity. The employee had retired in January after 20 years with the family, says the paper.

In a statement to the newspaper, Schwarzenegger, 63, said Monday: "After leaving the governor's office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago. I understand and deserve the feelings of anger and disappointment among my friends and family. There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry."

He added: "I ask that the media respect my wife and children through this extremely difficult time," the statement concluded. "While I deserve your attention and criticism, my family does not. "

Schwarzenegger also said he financially provided for the child. Shriver's spokesman said the former first lady, 55, had no comment. Schwarzenegger and Shriver have four children together.

Jennifer Aniston has lost a friend. Her beloved Welsh corgi-terrier mix, Norman, died at age 15.

"He died a few weeks ago," Aniston's rep confirms to PEOPLE. "He was an old dog and it was just his time."

Over the years, Aniston described her pal as a quiet canine who enjoyed resting at her feet.

"He's my baby boy," she told PEOPLE in February. "Norman goes with me on location – I've got to take Norman."

The actress, who just purchased a $4.95 million apartment in New York, bought the home under the name Norman's Nest Trust.

Earlier this year, the pooch tagged along with Aniston when she was a guest on TV's Chelsea Lately.

Host Chelsea Handler and the crowd went wild for the pup, whom Aniston affectionately called "Norm" and "Normy," and watched as the actress tried to get him to sit, but to no avail.

"He's 15 years old, he doesn't care anymore," Aniston said.

Back when he was a young pup, Norman got into his share of trouble. He reportedly disappeared for two days in 1998 and eventually turned up at an animal shelter. But most likely the event left him unfazed: "Even back [as a puppy] he was as cool as a cucumber," Aniston told PEOPLE in 2008. "He's just a person in a dog suit."

Norman is survived by Aniston's other pup, a white German shepherd named Dolly.

Ashton Kutcher and Charlie Sheen

What's Charlie Sheen saying about Ashton Kutcher taking his job?

Duh, whining.

"Ashton Kutcher is a sweetheart and a brilliant comedic performer. Oh wait, so am I!!" the actor griped Friday. "Enjoy the show America, Enjoy seeing 2.0 in the demo every Monday, WB. Enjoy planet Chuck, Ashton. There is no air, laughter, loyalty, or love there."

Sheen, 45, was referring to Chuck Lorre, the creator and executive producer of Two and a Half Men and Sheen's nemesis since he was fired from the hit sitcom amid allegations about his lifestyle and behavior on the set.

Kutcher, 33, who got the role after Hugh Grant reportedly dropped out of negotiations, will make $650,000 to $750,000 an episode, a source close to the show tells PEOPLE.

Mary Tyler Moore has elected to undergo surgery to remove a meningioma, a benign tumor of the lining tissue of the brain, her rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"At the recommendation of her neurologist, who has been monitoring this for years, and a neurosurgeon, Mary decided to proceed with this fairly routine procedure," says the rep.

The veteran star – who in the '60s as Laura Petrie on the The Dick Van Dyke Show was TV's first sexy suburban housewife, and then in the '70s as Mary Richards on The Mary Tyler Moore Show was the prototypical single career woman – most recently did a guest spot opposite her friend (and MTM Show costar) Betty White on the season premiere of Hot in Cleveland.

In March, Moore, 73, appeared in Vanity Fair's annual Hollywood Issue, marking the 30th anniversary of the movie Ordinary People, for which she was Oscar-nominated for her role as the icy mother, by reuniting with its cast and director Robert Redford.

On Thursday's Rachael Ray Show, which was taped on May 5, Moore makes a surprise appearance during an interview with her friend and former costar Dick Van Dyke.

Lindsay Lohan Likely To Receive 14 Days On House Arrest!

Lindsay Lohan sweet
This gurl is LUCKY!

Earlier we reported that Lindsay Lohan is basically in the clear of any jail time ON TOP of her 120 days already sentenced AND she would most likely be serving her sentence at home on house arrest.

Now, the L.A. County Sheriff's office says that the actress is eligable for early release, EVEN if she serves her prison sentence at home!
How early? Only by about…106 days!
Yeap. It's being predicted that she'll only serve about 14 days of her 120 day prison sentence AT HOME with an electronic monitoring device around her ankle.
If we could have one superpower, it would be to have La Lohan's uncanny ability to get out of trouble! LOLz!
Let's hope she never has to use her power ever again!

Mansion Rotates to Catch the Sun

Italian villa rotates with the sun

The complicated and expensive structure was under construction from 1929 until 1935.
It worked then, and it still does.

The two-part building resembles a clock face with a 44-metre-diameter circular base and L-shaped hands connected by a 40-metre-high pivoting turret. Three diesel-powered circular rails allow for a complete rotation of the building in nine hours and 20 minutes, more than enough time to follow the movement of the sun. Every day, the two-storey villa rotates to allow its main windows to face the sun.
Inside the building, the first floor features living, dining and entertaining spaces. A series of bedrooms and bathrooms are found at the top of the sweeping spiral staircase.
After completion, its engineering designer moved in and called Villa Girasole his summer home.
The villa's rotation is activated by a three-button panel in the foyer and can be stopped at any position. And of course, it stays put when unoccupied.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver Separate

After a 25-year marriage as one of the nation's leading power couples in Hollywood and politics, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver have split up, they say in a joint statement.

“This has been a time of great personal and professional transition for each of us," they say. "After a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer, we came to this decision together.

"At this time, we are living apart, while we work on the future of our relationship," they continue. "We are continuing to parent our four children together. They are the light and the center of both of our lives.

"

Shriver, 55, a TV journalist and member of the Kennedy dynasty, and Schwarzenegger, 63, the Austrian-born bodybuilder/action movie hero who became a Republican California governor, have seemed like an unlikely couple since they married in 1986.

They had four children, ages 14, 18, 20 and 21, and long projected the image of a close and loving couple, despite – and sometimes even because of – their differences. During a 2003 political campaign, Shriver strongly defended her husband against allegations he had a history of groping women while he was an actor, and Schwarzenegger went on to become governor.

Schwarzenegger left the governor's office last January after an increasingly difficult term, and there have been reports he'll re-start his movie career, including a role in another Terminator film.

Blake Shelton stuck his boot in his mouth, but now The Voice coach is apologizing.

It all started when Shelton, 34, Tweeted on Tuesday his own version of a Shania Twain song: "Any man that tries touching my behind, he's gonna be a beaten, bleedin,' heaving kind of guy."

Within hours, the country crooner, who is engaged to Miranda Lambert, was attacked by a slew of angry Tweeters, along with GLAAD, which wrote, "No, @BlakeShelton – violent, anti-gay statements are not what a woman wants. Apologize now. #LGBT #gay #thevoice @NBCTheVoice."

Shelton later apologized on the social networking site for what he called a "misunderstanding with the whole re-write on the Shania song."

"It honestly wasn't even meant that way," he wrote. "I now know that their (sic) are people out there waiting to jump at everything I say on here or anywhere. But when it comes to gay/lesbian rights or just feelings... I love everybody. So go look for a real villain and leave me out of it!!!"

Shelton later added, "@glaad hey I want my fans and @nbcthevoice fans to know that anti-gay and lesbian violence is unacceptable!!!!!"

GLAAD eventually forgave Shelton, posting a statement from the organization's president on its Web site. "Following outrage from community members and allies, Blake Shelton took the right step in speaking out against anti-gay violence and sending an important message to his fans and viewers of The Voice."

Shania Twain

Shania Twain says the breakup of her marriage in 2008 left her devastated – then, finally, empowered.

"I didn't want to live," she tells Oprah Winfrey of being told that then-husband Robert "Mutt" Lange was having an affair with her assistant and close friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, in an interview airing Tuesday.

Now, the singer says the dissolution of that 14-year marriage was "a very positive thing." Adds Twain: "I needed the wake-up."

Though she doesn't know the details of the alleged affair to this day – the couple has never admitted infidelity – the country superstar, 45, tells Winfrey she tried to get answers and even wanted her husband back. At one point, she recalls writing to Marie-Anne and asking, "Why are you torturing me? Let it go, please," she said. "Find love somewhere else from someone else."

"I know it was pathetic," Twain says of the letter. "But we all have pathetic moments. No one is above this type of low."

Finding Her Voice Again

While trying to heal from the divorce, Twain turned to the one person who truly could understand what she was going through: Marie-Anne's estranged husband, Frédéric. The two eventually fell in love, and married in January in Puerto Rico.

Happily married, Twain is now making an effort to reclaim her voice after a five year absence from the stage. She recently went to a doctor in Nashville to check her vocal cords and discovered that she suffers from a condition called dysphonia, which she describes as the muscles in her throat squeezing her voice box.

She attributes the condition to years of fear – from witnessing domestic violence as a child, her parents' deaths, the uncertainty that followed and battling longtime stage-fright. Still, Twain, who is releasing a new memoir, From This Moment On, and has a new show on Winfrey's network, OWN, debuting Sunday, says she plans to embrace music.

"I've trapped my own voice, and now I've got to unwipe all that," Twain says. "I really can't imagine not singing again."

(CNN) -- DNA matching is under way on samples from the body of slain terrorist leader Osama Bin Laden, a U.S. government official told CNN on Monday.
There are photographs of the body with a gunshot wound to the side of the head that shows an individual who is not unrecognizable as bin Laden, the official said.
No decision has yet been made on whether to release the photographs and if so, when and how.
The mastermind of the worst terrorist attacks on American soil was killed by U.S. forces Monday in a mansion in Abbottabad, about 50 kilometers (31 miles) north of the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, U.S. officials said.
Four others in the compound also were killed. One of them was bin Laden's adult son, and another was a woman being used as a shield by a male combatant, the officials said.
Bin Laden's body was later buried at sea, an official said. Many Muslims adhere to the belief that bodies should be buried within one day.

The official did not release additional details about the burial, but said it was handled in keeping with Muslim customs.
The death of the founder and leader of al Qaeda comes almost 10 years after the September 11, 2001, attacks that killed about 3,000 people.
In an address to the nation Sunday night, U.S. President Barack Obama called bin Laden's death "the most significant achievement to date in our nation's effort to defeat al Qaeda." Washington is nine hours behind Pakistan.
"Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan," Obama said. "A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body."
A congressional source familiar with the operation said bin Laden was shot in the head.
The killing of bin Laden was the culmination of years of intelligence work and months of following a specific lead, senior U.S. administration officials said.
The key break involved one of the few couriers trusted by bin Laden, according to the officials. About two years ago, intelligence work identified where the courier and his brother lived and operated in Pakistan, and it took until August to find the compound in Abbottabad that was raided, they said.
According to the senior administration officials, intelligence work determined at the beginning of 2011 that bin Laden might be located at the compound.
Obama chaired five National Security Council meetings from mid-March until late April, with the last two on April 19 and April 28 -- last Thursday.
On Friday morning -- even as he visited Alabama's tornado-ravaged areas -- Obama gave the order for the mission, the officials said.
Senior Obama administration officials believe the compound was built five years ago for the specific purpose of hiding bin Laden. U.S. forces carried out several so-called "practice runs" in order to minimize casualties.
Footage that aired Monday on CNN affiliate GEO TV showed fire and smoke spewing from the compound where bin Laden was killed.
One resident in the city of Lahore said Monday she was stunned to hear bin Laden was in the country.
"But was it really him?" the woman said.
A senior national security official told CNN that officials had multiple confirmations that the body was bin Laden's, saying they had the "ability to run images of the body and the face."
A resident in Abbottabad, who did not want to be fully identified, said he was wary of making any personal statements or giving his reaction to the news. But he said the house where bin Laden allegedly was killed has been occupied by many people for the past five years.
Half a world away, the scene outside the White House was one of pure jubilation.
Hundreds reveled through the night, chanting "USA! USA!" Others chanted "Hey, hey, hey, goodbye!" in reference to the demise of bin Laden. Many also spontaneously sang the national anthem.
In New York, a cheering crowd gathered at ground zero -- the site where the twin towers of the World Trade Center stood before bin Laden's terrorist group flew two planes into the buildings on September 11, 2001. Strains of "God Bless America" could be heard intermittently trickling through the crowd.
One former New York firefighter -- forced to retire due to lung ailments suffered as a result of the dust from ground zero -- said he was there to let the 343 firefighters who died in the attacks know "they didn't die in vain."
"It's a war that I feel we just won," he said. "I'm down here to let them know that justice has been served."
Bob Gibson, a retired New York police officer, said the news of bin Laden's death gave him a sense of "closure."
"I never thought this night would come, that we would capture or kill bin Laden," he said. "And thank the Lord he has been eliminated."
The news also brought some relief to family members of those killed on 9/11.
"This is important news for us, and for the world," said Gordon Felt, president of Families of Flight 93, which crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on 9/11. "It cannot ease our pain, or bring back our loved ones. It does bring a measure of comfort that the mastermind of the September 11th tragedy and the face of global terror can no longer spread his evil."
Bin Laden eluded capture for years, once reportedly slipping out of a training camp in Afghanistan just hours before a barrage of U.S. cruise missiles destroyed it.
He had been implicated in a series of deadly, high-profile attacks that had grown in their intensity and success during the 1990s. They included a deadly firefight with U.S. soldiers in Somalia in October 1993, the bombings of two U.S. embassies in East Africa that killed 224 in August 1998, and an attack on the USS Cole that killed 17 sailors in October 2000.
In his speech, Obama reiterated that the United States is not fighting Islam.
"I've made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader; he was a mass murderer of Muslims," Obama said.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), a Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization, welcomed the death of bin Laden.
"As we have stated repeatedly since the 9/11 terror attacks, bin Laden never represented Muslims or Islam. In fact, in addition to the killing of thousands of Americans, he and al Qaeda caused the deaths of countless Muslims worldwide," the statement said.
While the death of bin Laden "is a significant victory," the war on terrorism is not over, said Frances Fragos Townsend, former Homeland Security adviser to President George W. Bush.
"We've been fighting these fractured cells. We've seen the U.S. government, military and intelligence officials deployed around the world," Townsend said. "By no means are these other cells nearly as dangerous as he is, but we will continue to have to fight in chaotic places."
U.S. diplomatic facilities around the world were placed on high alert following the announcement of bin Laden's death, a senior U.S. official said, and the U.S. State Department issued a "worldwide caution" for Americans.
The travel alert warned of the "enhanced potential for anti-American violence given recent counter-terrorism activity in Pakistan." Some fear al Qaeda supporters may try to retaliate against U.S. citizens or U.S. institutions.
But for now, many Americans were soaking up the historic moment.
"It's what the world needed," said Dustin Swensson, a military veteran Iraq and joined the revelers outside the White House. "(I'll) always remember where I was when the towers went down, and I'm always going to remember where I am now."

Osama Bin Laden is dead. His body is in the possession of the United States.

Around 11 p.m. ET, President Obama is set to make a highly unusual Sunday night live statement to announce the news.

Ending a nearly 10-year manhunt, "actionable U.S. intelligence" led to the strike that killed Bin Laden, the criminal mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks that left 3,000 people dead.

The news spread quickly on Twitter after the White House announced that President Obama would make a late-night statement Sunday. The first confirmation came when Keith Urbahn, the Chief of Staff for former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, tweeted: "I'm told by a reputable person they have killed Osama Bin Laden."
